I should have kept both eyes on Quinn.
I turned my head for a second and when I looked back Quinn was one foot in front of me with the hose (spray attachment and all) pointed right at my head. He had a look on his face that I am all too familiar with.
I was dead.
Just as I started to get the word, "NOOOO!" out of my mouth - I got a mouth full, head full, ear full of forceful water. I couldn't even breathe it was coming at me so strong! I jumped up, dropped the phone, began scolding, and...that's the moment when he smiled at me and I saw his hand squeeze the trigger. Here we go again.
Soaked.
From head to toe.
With a whole audience of little boys watching on in horror and amusement.
I swear, this kid...he is cutest, funniest little toddler but he does not even hesitate when defying me. Nor does he seem to mind an ounce when he's scolded (perhaps that's because he can see the corners of my mouth fighting to curve up).
A few weeks ago I was filling up the tub for him and ran to the hall closet to grab the shampoo. Before I walked out I said, "Now you wait right here. Ok?" (Don't freak out - I was only out of the room for three seconds - maybe four.) But in those four seconds he decided he'd rather not "wait right here" and hopped on in the water. Fully clothed.

If only I had time to tell you more.
I dedicate this post to myself because I had actually taken the time to blow dry my hair yesterday. Darn it! If you think for a second that I went in the house and got myself cleaned up - then you thunk wrong. I just went on with my day looking like a drowned poodle. I eventually dried and then went to bed.
